Kemi Levi

human data enjoyer, system builder

i build products that psychoanalyze people, legally. I started my first company at 14, raised $2.5M at 16, lost it all, sold internet door-to-door, and now live in SF building again stronger, smarter, less broke.

I’m Kemi and I believe in personalizing the world. Not just our feeds or our ads, but our schools, our workplaces, our relationships, our lives.

Everyone talks about the simulation like it’s code we’re trapped in. But the real simulation isn’t digital. It’s social. It’s people giving you directions. ā€œGo to this school.ā€ ā€œTake that job.ā€ ā€œThis path is safer.ā€ ā€œThis one’s more impressive.ā€ Most of it comes from love. But love without understanding can still send you the wrong way. Because if someone doesn’t truly understand how you’re wired, how you think, what motivates you, what shuts you down, their advice becomes noise. Even when it’s well-intentioned. Especially when it is. That’s how people end up at fifty or sixty wondering why they’re questioning everything they do. I’ve lived through this noise. I’ve seen how institutions try to help people without really understanding them, and how that gap breaks lives. That’s why I’m building General Intent (fmr. pangia). General Intent is human behavior intelligence infrastructure. It’s a silent data layer that helps software understand people, not just what they do, but why they do it. We’re embedding human understanding into the bedrock of the systems people move through from cradle to grave. When you start your first job at sixteen, your employer should understand what drives you. When you go to college, your administrators should know how to guide you toward your real potential. When you enter the workforce, your team should know how to help you thrive. When you fall in love, even that connection should be grounded in understanding, not algorithms. at sixty, people should be able to look back and experience the joy of realizing ā€œomg I did it all rightā€. that will be because of us. we will be under the hood, building a happier place to be human. That’s the world I want to build. That’s General Intent. Technology shouldn’t just make life faster. It should make it truer. That’s how we personalize the world. I’m also a cyclist, world traveler, and recovering productivity app addict. reach out if you want to build something – kemi Klevi(at)generalintent(dot)ai
what does community mean to gen-z?
Most of human intelligence is untouched.
I don’t know how helpful rest actually is
